Variety description

The variety is a winter-hardy subshrub or semi-climber with erect stems reaching a height of up to 2 meters. The leaves are mostly simple, sometimes trifoliate, heart-shaped, and dark green in color.

The flowers are 6–10 cm in diameter, face upward, and do not have a pronounced scent. The color of the petals is purple-violet with a red stripe in the center, and the buds have a dark purple-red hue. The plant belongs to the Patens group.

Flowering occurs from June to September on current-year shoots. The variety is winter-hardy (zone 6). Annual pruning in March at a height of about 25 cm above ground level is recommended.
