Merveille de Bollwiller
ActiveCorylus avellana L. · Common hazel
WEISSMANN (FR)
10 August 2026
The variety is a vigorous and productive plant. The medium-sized fruits have an oblong shape with a base narrower than the top and are covered with a thin, easily cracked shell of a light brown or reddish hue. The nut husk is hairy, long, and deeply incised.
Crop ripening occurs in August. The variety has a long flowering period and produces a large amount of pollen, making it frequently used as a pollinator for other hazelnut varieties. The kernel has good flavor qualities, and the kernel yield is about 52%.
