Zadok is not an edible fruit crop. It is an interspecific hybrid used as a highly plastic rootstock in greenhouse operations to improve the qualities of cucumbers, watermelons, and melons.

The plant possesses high growth vigor and tolerance to abiotic stress factors. The hybrid provides protection of the root system against diseases such as Fusarium and contributes to increasing the productivity of grafted vegetable crops.
