The variety GRELIVE is a bud mutation of the variety Castlewellan Gold. The plant has soft light green needle coloration and forms a dense crown with an upright growth habit. A specific feature is the balanced development of the root system relative to the aerial part of the plant.

This variety exhibits vigorous growth characteristic of the entire species, averaging up to 1 meter per year depending on growing conditions. The plant is used for decorative purposes, including the creation of hedges and protective windbreaks.

Cupressus × leylandii is a sterile hybrid; therefore, propagation of the variety GRELIVE is possible exclusively by cuttings. Information regarding seed propagation of this variety is unreliable, as the seeds do not retain parental traits.
