Variety description

The variety forms a vigorous bush 1 to 2 meters tall with silvery-green foliage. The inflorescences, often called "cat's heads," have an intense green color and a fleshy base with a delicate nutty flavor. Fruiting begins most actively from the second year of the plant's life.

The plant is considered relatively cold-hardy, withstanding frosts down to -5…-10 °C with mulching. It is demanding of sunlight and deep, well-drained soils, is sensitive to waterlogging of the root system, and may require staking in windy locations.

When grown as a perennial, it is recommended to remove weak lateral shoots to increase the size of the inflorescences. Harvesting is carried out before the inflorescence scales begin to open.
