The variety is a vigorous plant with a height of 0.8 to 2 meters. The leaves are grayish-green and weakly spiny, which facilitates harvesting. The stalks are wide, thick, and succulent.

The variety is early-maturing with a growing season of about 5 months. It belongs to perennial crops that are drought and heat tolerant, but poorly tolerant to low temperatures. The chemical composition shows the presence of sesquiterpene lactones and luteolin.
