The variety was created through clonal selection based on breeding material from the Boone and Potomac varieties, as well as samples from the University of Illinois. The plant reaches a height of 105–120 cm.
The variety is characterized by early spring regrowth and active development in the autumn period, which makes it suitable for spring-summer cutting. The crop possesses high winter hardiness and persistence.
