The Strawberry Shortcake echinacea variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with double bicolored inflorescences. The lower row consists of creamy-white reflexed ray florets, while the central part forms a large pom-pom that changes shade from milky-white to dark pink during the flowering process.

The plant forms a bush approximately 70–80 cm in height and 75 cm in width. Due to its sturdy stems, the variety is resistant to lodging and is suitable for cutting. The plant prefers sunny areas with well-drained soil, as it is prone to damping-off in heavy or damp soils.
