The variety is a hybrid obtained as a result of a natural mutation of the 'Kramer's Rote' variety. The plant reaches 25–50 cm in height and up to 50 cm in width. Young leaves have a lemon-yellow hue, turn golden-yellow in summer, and acquire bronze or orange tones with the onset of winter.
Flowering occurs from December to May with small bell-shaped magenta-pink flowers. The shrub prefers sunny areas with well-drained acidic soils and moderate watering. The variety shows winter hardiness in the range from -15°C to -25°C, while being characterized by faster growth compared to Erica herbacea.
