Variety description

The plant is a compact, broadly upright evergreen shrub 30–50 cm tall and 30–60 cm wide with dark green needle-like foliage. The flowers are large, bright pink, and gathered in one-sided inflorescences.
The variety prefers sunny or partially shaded areas with acidic, well-drained sandy or peaty soils. It possesses good winter hardiness (USDA zone 6) and tolerates pruning well, which is recommended to be carried out immediately after flowering ends to maintain its shape.
