The plant is a compact and dense shrub with evergreen needle-like foliage. The flowers have a tubular shape and a bright magenta, almost red, color.
The variety prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soils and tolerates neutral or slightly alkaline environments. The plant has winter hardiness down to -15°C and is sensitive to waterlogging, which can provoke fungal diseases of the root system.
It is used in open field cultivation for landscaping flower beds, borders, and rock gardens, and is also suitable for container gardening on balconies and terraces.
