The plant forms a compact, bushy, rounded shrub with a height of 30–40 cm. The foliage is small, linear, evergreen, medium-green in color, with cream-colored tips on young shoots. The flowers are pure white, tubular, and gathered in long upright racemes. The size of the flowers is twice as large as that of the Silberschmelze variety, and they are also distinguished by brown stamens.
Flowering begins in late October and can continue until mid-spring. The variety is winter-hardy and withstands frosts down to –15°C. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations, well-drained humus soils, preferably slightly acidic. The plant is used for landscaping borders, flower beds, cemeteries, and for container cultivation.
