The variety is a specialized lawn grass not intended for forage purposes. It is used for creating high-quality lawn cover and demonstrates good adaptation to the growth conditions typical for the species.

During variety trials, the variety showed resistance to Rhizoctonia (brown patch). There is also an updated version of the variety called «Blackwatch 2», which is used in professional grass mixtures.
