The variety «Pusszta» is included in the Hungarian state registers of agricultural plants in the fescue section. In the documents, it is classified as a form from the group of fine-leaved species close to Festuca pseudovina and Festuca duriuscula, and is not a pure species of Festuca ovina.
Available publications lack information on maturity group, plant height, disease resistance, and productivity indicators of this variety. Fescues of this group are often used in Hungarian practice for establishing swards on saline or arid soils, as well as for land reclamation.
