The variety is a bunchgrass with extremely narrow bristle-like leaves. It is characterized by a very slow growth rate, which reduces the need for frequent mowing, while rooting quickly after sowing. It forms a dense, thick dark-green sward that maintains an ornamental appearance during the winter period.

The plant demonstrates high adaptability to drought, heat, and shading. It possesses increased resistance to red thread, salts, and trampling, and also tolerates low mowing well. The variety is the result of breeding tetraploid forms and in some classifications belongs to the Festuca guestfalica group.

The variety is intended for the creation of high-quality lawns at sports facilities, in parks, and on playgrounds. It combines well in grass mixtures with Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and other fescue species.
