The variety belongs to Chewings fescue (Festuca rubra subsp. commutata), classified as Chewings fescue. Unlike rhizomatous forms, this type has a bunch-type growth habit and does not form underground shoots, which contributes to the formation of a dense and fine-textured turf stand.
In studies from the 1970s, the variety was classified as a low-growing plant. The variety showed the ability to regenerate and maintain green mass after unfavorable summer conditions, but in tests for salinity on road verges, it showed low survival, with less than 50% of plants.
