The «Varius» variety is a rhizomatous plant adapted for use in lawn mixtures. The main objectives of breeding this variety were to increase turf density and improve decorative characteristics and color intensity compared to wild populations.
In scientific research devoted to Lithuanian breeding material, the variety is considered in the context of evaluating morphological traits of lawn grasses, such as leaf width and general disease resistance.
