The variety «VB Šilis» was developed from the variety «Šilis». The growing period until the first cut ranges from 141 to 154 days depending on annual conditions and the cultivation zone.
The plant is characterized by very high winter hardiness and medium resistance to lodging. The variety forms a dense sod, making it suitable for creating turf cover, as well as for use as a forage crop in pastures and hayfields.
