The Blava variety is a bifera plant, producing two crops per year. The fruits have dark blue-black skin, a pear shape, and reddish juicy pulp with a flavor of toasted nuts and a honey undertone.
Ripening of breba begins from June 15, the main crop matures from mid-August to early September. The variety is considered early-ripening, suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and processing; however, the fruits are prone to cracking in high humidity and have low transportability.
