The variety belongs to the 'common' type and is uniferous, meaning it produces one crop per season during the mid-harvest period. The tree is distinguished by high growth vigor, a spreading and dense crown, and low shoot-forming capacity.

The fruits are of medium size, approximately 45 mm in length and 38 mm in width, characterized by a spherical shape and an intense black skin color with a reddish-blue hue. The variety has a low tendency for fruit drop.

The origin of the variety is unknown; it was discovered in the Mallorca region as an accidental find. Traditionally, the variety was used for local self-sufficiency, and it is currently of interest for the conservation of genetic diversity.
