The Boyuna variety (synonym Porronta) is a local landrace originating from the Spanish region of Extremadura. The tree has an open, spreading growth habit and is characterized by high drought tolerance.

The plant is of the bifera type: brebas ripen in the period from the last ten days of June to the first ten days of July, the main crop of figs is harvested from mid-August to mid-October. The fruit has purple skin of medium or above-medium thickness, which is elastic and peels well.
