The variety Brianzolo Bianco, also known by the synonyms Brianzolo, Briansolo, Panset, Passin, Passo, and Sciatel, is uniferous and matures in September. A feature is the ability of the fruits to dry on the tree, which is reflected in local names referring to passito grape varieties.
The fruits are small in size, bulb-shaped, with thin green skin and honey-like flesh of a wine-red color. The plant's leaves are predominantly three- or five-lobed. The variety is considered undemanding, adapted to the cool climate of northern Italy, and suitable for organic farming.
The fruits have universal use and are consumed fresh or dried. Historically, in the Brianza region, the harvest was dried by stringing it onto willow, blackthorn, or hawthorn twigs for storage under the roofs of houses.
