Variety description

10 August 2026

The Butumka variety is not an independent breeding unit, but serves as one of the local names for the Bjelica variety, along with Bjeluša, Morkinja, Jarakovka, and Žutica. This is a traditional variety of folk selection characteristic of the Balkan region.

The plant belongs to the group of biferous varieties capable of producing two crops per year, with the second crop being the main and abundant one. The fruit has yellow skin and cream-pink pulp. The variety is used as a table variety for local consumption.
