Rossetto is a local name for a fig variety that is also encountered in various regions of Italy under the names Datte, Fico della Madonna, or Fico Genovese. The variety was introduced into US collections under the number P.I. 18,845, however, it is currently distributed primarily in specialized collections.
Traditionally, this variety is valued for the high flavor quality of its first crop fruits, known as breba. Exhaustive modern agronomic characteristics of the variety, including parameters of disease resistance or a detailed description of the plant's morphology, are absent in available botanical sources.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
