A variety of Italian origin, also known by the names Salam Piacentino, Fico Salame or Salami. The fruits have an elongated shape, often tapered at the base, and light green skin. The pulp of the fruit varies from pink to bright red and possesses a sweet fruity flavor.
The variety is a bifera, producing two harvests per season: on old wood and on shoots of the current year. It is distinguished by high resistance to cracking and rotting during precipitation due to the structural features of the fruit. It may be closely related to the Verdolino variety type.
