The Sementino variety, also known as Sementino Rosso, is identified as a traditional variety related to the Moro di Caneva variety. The fruits are small, weighing 30–45 g, with thin skin that changes color to black or dark purple upon ripening, and red sweet flesh.
The plant is self-fertile and does not require pollination. The tree is characterized by medium to high vigor, demonstrates relative frost resistance, and is suitable for container growing. A feature of the variety is its ability to form a breba crop that ripens in the second half of the season.
