The plant forms a dense clump 25–30 cm in height and 40–55 cm in diameter. Leaves have a rounded-maple shape with seven shallow lobes and dark veins. Flowering occurs from late spring to mid-summer; flower stalks bear paniculate inflorescences with small white or light pink flowers.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 4 (down to -34.4 °C). Preferred sites for cultivation are those with partial shade or diffused light and well-drained fertile soils. Used in landscaping for creating borders, group plantings, and container gardening.
