Variety description

The leaves of the variety have a dark purple, almost black color, a matte velvety texture, and a wavy margin, with the underside of the leaf distinguished by a glossy purple hue. Small bell-shaped flowers of a cream-white or pinkish color are gathered in sparse paniculate inflorescences on tall dark peduncles. The plant height varies from 20 to 50 cm.

Flowering occurs during the summer months, predominantly in June and July. The plant is characterized by frost resistance and tolerance to salty winds, however, the peduncles can be vulnerable to precipitation and strong wind. The variety requires drained nutritious soil, regular hilling to prevent exposure of the rhizome, and cultivation in shade or partial shade to preserve leaf coloration.
