The variety is a compact dwarf plant 10–25 cm in height. The leaves have a rounded lobed shape and a characteristic caramel, bronze-yellow, or golden-amber hue, which may take on reddish tones when the weather turns cold.

Flowering is abundant, with small bell-shaped creamy-yellow flowers on short stalks, continuing from late spring to mid-autumn. The plant is winter hardy in zones 4–9, requires good drainage, and is sensitive to waterlogging, which can cause root rot or the development of powdery mildew.
