Variety description

The leaves of the variety are strongly ruffled, curly, with wavy edges. Young leaves have a bright red color, which changes to a deep cherry-burgundy or mahogany color as they mature. The height of the plant is 25–30 cm, with flowering stems up to 45–52 cm; the width varies from 35–40 to 50–60 cm.

Light pink bell-shaped flowers appear in June–July on sturdy burgundy flowering stems. The variety is characterized as fast-growing, resistant to diseases and lodging. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 4 (down to -34°C). It tolerates sun and dappled shade well; the leaf color becomes more intense in the sun.
