Variety description

The variety is a compact perennial with heart-shaped, deeply dissected leaves that are strongly ruffled at the edges. The leaf blade color varies from dark chocolate-brown to purple-brown, while the underside of the leaf has a bright purple hue, which may fade in case of insufficient lighting.

The plant forms loose paniculate inflorescences on thin peduncles, consisting of small pinkish-white bell-shaped flowers. The bush height reaches 20–30 cm without peduncles and up to 50–75 cm with them, with a diameter of about 50 cm.

The variety is evergreen or semi-evergreen, possesses good winter hardiness down to -23...-28 °C (zone Z5) and resistance to diseases and pests. The plant requires well-drained soil and can grow both in sun and partial shade.
