Variety description

The plant forms a large and dense squat bush. The heart-shaped leaves reach 15–16 cm in width and have a glossy, slightly ruffled surface. The leaf color is deep red upon emergence, darkening over time to a saturated mahogany color, and acquiring a copper hue by the end of summer.

Thick burgundy flower stalks rise above the bush. Small bell-shaped flowers open in cream-white, the flowering period lasts from late spring to mid-summer. The variety possesses good growth vigor and winter hardiness in zones 4a–8a, and is used as an accent plant in landscape gardening.
