Variety description

Perennial herbaceous plant that dies back to the soil level every winter and regrows in the spring. The shrub is compact, reaching a height of 90–120 cm.

A distinctive feature is the ornamental dark purple foliage, which is oval or maple-shaped. Large flowers 20–30 cm in diameter are pink or fuchsia-pink in color with a contrasting red eye in the center.

The plant blooms from July to September–October. It is winter-hardy, withstands temperatures down to -34°C, and prefers full sun locations and moist, nutrient-rich soils. It possesses high resistance to leaf spot, powdery mildew, and root rot.
