The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties «Ботаническая любительская», «Чуйская», and local male sea buckthorn plants from the Baltic Sea coastal zone. The shrub reaches a height of 3–4 meters and a width of up to 3 meters, and has narrow silvery leaves.
Fruits ripen in August–September. A feature of the variety is the long period of fruit retention on the branches, which allows for harvesting to be extended over 4–6 weeks. Due to the high oil content, the fruits are often used in the production of sea buckthorn oil.
