The variety is a shrub with a height of 2 to 6 meters. The fruits are round or oval in shape, with a color varying from reddish-orange to dark orange. The taste of the fruits is sour; they contain a significant amount of vitamin C and carotenoids. The fruits are located very densely on the branches, which can make manual harvesting difficult.

The plant is early-maturing, with ripening dates occurring from July to early August. The degree of thorniness of the shoots is assessed inconsistently in different sources. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness and lack of soil requirements; it requires the presence of male pollinator plants for fruiting. It is used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
