The variety is a male plant obtained by crossing continental Russian varieties with wild-growing Baltic sea buckthorn. The plant does not bear fruit; one male tree is capable of pollinating 5 to 8 female plants. The variety is early-flowering, blooming 6–10 days earlier than female varieties.

The plant is vigorous, reaching a height of 3–4 to 6 meters, and has an upright, rounded crown and narrow silvery-green leaves. The branches are distinguished by a relatively small number of thorns. The variety possesses high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, and is adapted to various soil types, preferring well-drained areas.
