The variety is a six-row winter barley used primarily as feed. The variety serves as a standard reference in UPOV studies when describing the morphological characteristics of the ear and plant coloration.
The plant possesses resistance to powdery mildew and helminthosporiosis. The variety also has comprehensive protection against barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) and barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV) types 1 and 2.
