Propino is a spring two-row barley variety. The plant is characterized by medium stem height and belongs to mid-season varieties.

The variety has good resistance to lodging and ear brittleness. It showed resistance to powdery mildew and rhynchosporium, while a need for protection against brown rust was noted.

The grain of the variety is large, with a high volumetric weight and low beta-glucan content, which contributed to beer clarity. Under field conditions, a risk of grain shedding was recorded.
