The variety is a winter two-row barley with hulled grain. The plants have an above-average height and are early-maturing. In studies, the variety demonstrates a high protein content in the grain, reaching 13.1–14.1% when grown under dryland conditions.
It possesses pronounced resistance to powdery mildew, due to the presence of specific genes such as Mla12, MlVIR, and Mlg. The variety is recognized as heterogeneous: lines differing in combinations of resistance genes may be maintained in various seed banks.
At present, the variety is considered more as a collection sample and breeding material for improving grain quality and increasing the crop's resistance to diseases.
