The variety Proval is a six-row barley. In variety testing methodology documentation, it is used as a reference sample for characterizing an erect flag leaf attitude.
The plant underwent regional trials in Belgium during the 2010–2012 period. Information on yield, maturity group, grain end-use, resistance to diseases, or lodging is absent from open sources.
