The variety is a two-row spring barley with ears of medium density and parallel shape. The plant has long awns that exceed the length of the ear. The rachis of the ear has a medium length and curvature of the first segment; the sterile spikelets are fully developed and have a divergent position.
In industrial use, the variety is considered in the context of malt and whisky production. A feature is the absence of glycosidic nitrile production, which is of interest to the brewing industry.
