The leaves have a creamy-white center, which turns white by summer, and a wide dark green margin with characteristic yellow or yellow-green streaks in the transition zone. Leaf blades are heart-shaped, sometimes slightly puckered.

The mature plant reaches a height of 35–45 cm and a width of 50–60 cm. Lavender flowers bloom on the stalks from July to August.

The variety is winter-hardy and moderately growing, with a relatively dense leaf structure. It prefers partial shade, however, it is capable of tolerating more intense lighting to enhance the brightness of the coloration when protected from the hot midday sun.
