The plant is a bushy upright shrub 1.2 to 1.8 meters high with decorative dark green foliage. Inflorescences reach 18 cm in diameter and consist of flowers with pointed sepals.

The color of the inflorescences varies from cornflower blue in acidic soils to pink and purple shades in neutral or alkaline conditions, with green or red tones potentially appearing towards the end of the season. Flowering lasts from July to October.

The variety belongs to USDA hardiness zone 6. The plant is used in group plantings, borders, as a specimen plant, and is suitable for drying inflorescences.
