Variety description

The plant is a compact, dense, upright shrub. Height in open field is 0.8–1.2 m, when grown in containers — 0.4–0.6 m; bush width varies from 0.9 to 1.2 m. Leaves are simple, ovate, with a serrated edge, having a saturated dark green color.

Inflorescences are spherical, large, up to 20–25 cm in diameter. Their color depends on soil acidity: in acidic soils they acquire an intense blue or azure shade, in neutral or alkaline soils — pink or lilac. Flowering is abundant, lasting from July to September.

The variety is photophilous, prefers partial shade and protection from direct midday sun. It requires regular watering and well-drained, fertile, humus-rich soil without lime. The variety is resistant to diseases, requires winter covering, as flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots.
