Variety description

The variety is the result of the Wädenswil breeding program, which involved crossing the Tödi variety with lacecap forms. The plant is an upright, spreading shrub 1.2 to 2 meters tall with large light green leaves. In literature, it is found under the synonym Möwe.

The inflorescence type belongs to the lacecap group: flat inflorescences with small fertile flowers in the center and larger sterile ones on the edges. The flower color varies from bright pink or red-pink on neutral soils to purple or lilac-blue on acidic ones. The flowering period lasts from July to October.

The plant has winter hardiness down to -18°C. It is used in landscape design for creating borders, hedges, single and group plantings, and is also suitable for container cultivation.
