Variety description

The shrub reaches a height and width of 1.0 to 1.5 m. The plant possesses large dark green leaves of ovate or oval shape with a serrated edge. Strong shoots allow the bush to maintain its shape well.

Globular inflorescences have a diameter of 15–25 cm. On acidic soils, flowers are colored in blue or blue-violet tones, on neutral and slightly alkaline ones — from pink to dark pink. In autumn, the inflorescences often acquire a wine-red shade.

The flowering period lasts from June to September. The variety is suitable for group and border plantings, container cultivation, as well as for cutting and use in dried bouquets. The plant requires protection from spring frosts and low winter temperatures.
