Variety description

The plant reaches 1.2–1.5 meters in height and width. The inflorescences have serrated sepals, which gives them a ruffled appearance. The foliage is green; the shrub is deciduous.

The flower color varies from pink or crimson on neutral soils to blue and violet on acidic soils. By autumn, the inflorescences can acquire distinct red shades. Flowering occurs in July–August.

The variety prefers rich, fresh soils and requires regular watering. It is recommended to plant in areas protected from adverse weather conditions.
