Variety description

The variety has a number of synonyms; in professional literature, it is often identified with the variety "Hanabi", and is also known under the names "Fireworks", "Vuurwerk", and "Feu d'Artifice". The bush is compact, reaching a height of 60 to 150 cm depending on growing conditions.

The flowers are snow-white; they can acquire a blue or pink hue depending on soil pH. Sterile flowers with star-shaped petals are located along the edge of the inflorescence on lengthening pedicels. The plant has medium winter hardiness (USDA zone 6) and is used for landscaping flower beds, mixed borders, and container gardening.
