The plant is a shrub forming flat lacecap inflorescences. The flowers are colored in a combination of red or pink with creamy-white shades. The flowering period lasts from late spring to mid or late summer, sometimes until autumn.

The shrub height is from 0.6 to 1.3 meters depending on growing conditions. The plant prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soils. It is used in landscape design for creating borders, mass plantings, container gardening, and for cut flowers.
