The variety is a compact shrub with a rounded crown 0.9 to 1.5 m in height. Foliage is large, dark green, with a waxy coating and serrated edges. Inflorescences are flat or slightly dome-shaped, reaching 25 cm in diameter.
Flowers are initially white, and as they bloom, they may acquire a bluish or greenish hue. The color of the sterile flowers depends on the soil acidity: in acidic soils they become blue, in alkaline ones — pink. The plant blooms from mid-summer to autumn.
The variety is intended for solitary plantings, borders, container cultivation, and cut flowers. Winter hardiness is limited to the range of -15°C to -24°C; it requires covering in cold climate conditions. Due to the large inflorescences, support may be required.
